Some of you may have read my prior topic entitled “Insta-copter”.
The saga continues…
This one wasn’t an “instant” one but again, by the point I heard it, it was nearly by my home and LOUD so the question begs as to where it might have come from. Sound travels and the area was quiet till this thing appeared or nearly did.
What happened?
Well, all I can surmise is that, since we had rain yesterday and its been overcast today (VERY welcome with how dry and hot its been), the blue hole over my home in the midst of overcast skies everywhere else must be really annoying them.
The copter traveled along my property line on the left (looking at the front of the house) maybe 50 feet above tree height and headed, I was thinking, towards NYC. It was in line to do that. Then it did something totally unexpected. It did a near hairpin turn (we’re talking about one of those big white helicopters here) and headed back towards my home and along the property line on the right side. I had a good laugh over that one – even waved and surrounded it in a big-old ball of CV energy instructing that ball to stay with the craft for as long as its in service (hehe). Somehow, they left the area rather quickly.
The word pathetic came to mind when I thought about what they might be attempting to do – scare tactics?
Just for grins, here’s a picture of what the whole rest of the neighborhood looked like in the sky:

And here’s what it looks like over my home. That big cloud was just passing through but I was a little impatient to take the picture as the light was starting to diminish some. Aside from that cloud, the sky was clear and blue with thin, whispy slyphs like the small one below it all day.

You think they may be a wee bit confused why they can’t get that blue hole to go away? Don’t you just love it? (hehe)
