In 2022, the whorled pagonia orchid suddenly winked back into existence in Vermont for the first time since 1902.
In 2018, the ivory-billed woodpecker suddenly winked back into existence in Louisiana for the first time since 1944.
THE ARTICLES
On April 13, 2022, mic.com said “Researchers claim to have sighted a bird not seen since 1944”.
Where author AJ Dellinger said “a bird not sighted since 1944” to avoid printing the name of the bird, to make the subject completely unsearchable.
That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.
For the record, it’s an ivory-billed woodpecker.
AJ hilariously said “sighted a bird not seen” to pile on with the false meme that the ivory-billed woodpecker had been there all along - for the past eighty years! - only nobody had looked for it with the proper skill or assiduousness, previously.
AJ tacked the snide “researchers claim” on the front end of the headline to give the subconscious of the Coincidence theorist reader the green light to say “oh, but those researchers will claim anything!”
As a propagandist, he knows that many or most readers will grasp virtually any straw, no matter how thin, to remain off the hook of personal responsibility.
If I included all of the propaganda in the article, it would take an hour or more to break down. Here’s just one small piece of it:
“The paper, which includes a number of photos from remote cameras and drones that purport to show the woodpecker alive and well, is the result of three years of extensive searching.
There are a number of reasons the ivory-billed woodpecker has been difficult to find and document,” Latta, the director of conservation at the National Aviary and lead researcher on the project, tells Mic. “The bird’s habitat is bottomland forest, which is not easily accessible — it is densely forested, swampy, and difficult to traverse.” Latta notes that the birds tend to have a wide home range, covering up to 4 miles in diameter, and tend to fly above treetops, which makes them particularly difficult to spot."
As if people for the rest of all history had any difficulty in, er, spotting them.
But it’s the sort of stuff that a drool cup-wearing NPR addict will eat right up for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the Intelligence trade, it’s called “plausible deniability”.
For the record, mic.com’s AJ Dellinger said “extensive searching”, “difficult to find and document”, “not easily accessible”, “difficult to traverse” and “difficult to spot” to reinforce the false meme that that the ivory-billed woodpecker had been there all along - for the past eighty years! - only nobody had looked for it with the proper skill or assiduousness, previously.
Spectacularly, despite documenting the fact that lead author Steve Latta’s paper contains photos of the ivory-billed woodpecker, AJ’s mic.com article contains a stock image of dead, stuffed ivory-bills.

There’s a pullout quote featured in AJ’s article where Steve says “Having seen the bird myself and knowing now that the species survives, I feel an immense responsibility to protect it.”
That quote, and Steve’s Orwellian title of “Director of Conservation” means that he’s in the backcountry full-time, trying to shoot, poison or trap the ivory-billed woodpecker back into extinction.
If you’re having trouble processing that, you’ll need to recall that every successful confidence game depends upon misdirection.

“A federally threatened species of orchid that hasn’t been confirmed in Vermont since 1902 has been found, the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife said.”
I’ve never seen it done in my life, but anytime an uncredited Intelligence operative repeats a line three times like that, it’s a direct order to the subconscious of the Coincidence theorist reader to stop reading immediately.

The article goes on to say:
“Department botanists confirmed that a population of small whorled pogonia has been documented on Winooski Valley Park District conservation land in Chittenden County. To protect them, officials won’t say exactly where the orchids were found.”
Where “officials won’t say exactly where the orchids were found” is Mil-speak for “Federal officials destroyed the small population of whorled pogonia orchids”. The tell is “to protect them.”
For those unaware, the Feds don’t protect anything, that is of course except for themselves. That’s why, earlier in the article, it truthfully says “Federally threatened” a couple of times.
The words “mystery”, “baffled” and “puzzled” are memes, used, among numerous similar variants whenever anyone in the wholly-controlled-and-coopted Political, Academic, Scientific and Media establishments wants to lie about, well, basically anything. One of those many variants is “astounded”.
That’s why the article goes on to say:
“Discovering a viable population of a federally threatened species unknown in our state for over a century is astounding,” said Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department Botanist Bob Popp."
Where, despite the fact that he’s a Fish and Wildlife Department Biologist by trade, Bob Popp is bravely pretending that he doesn’t know that, in 2022, Drosera hortiorum, Drosera koikyennuruff and four other sticky, carnivorous sundew plants suddenly winked into existence in Australia.
Instead, he’s falsely professing that the whorled pagonia orchids had been there in Vermont, all along - for over a century! - only nobody (including himself) had looked for them with the proper skill or assiduousness, previously.
The article concludes:
“The small whorled pogonia is a globally rare orchid historically found across the eastern states and Ontario. Populations in Maine and New Hampshire are found in areas of partial sun, including forest edges and openings. Previous searches for the species in Vermont have been unsuccessful.”
