Berlin Water Gifting

Hi everybody,

On Friday we returned from our gifting holiday trip to Berlin.

In mid-July we drove up to a campsite in Berlin with our modified canadian canoe.

We met with a German gifter there who gave some maps and a bag full of TBs to us.

So instead of 500 TBs we now had 570 TBs for our trip.

We had heard that Berlin has more bridges than Venice so our aim was to gift all channels and waterways inside and around Berlin.

When we arrived temperatures were around 97°F and we preferred to start our first tour at 4:00 in the morning to get the 68 miles done until sunset.

We had modified our canoe to be able to carry a 2.3 HP outboarder.

Although it’s the smallest one you can get we made quite good speed with it (7.5 mph) with very low fuel consumption of 0,264 gallons per hour at fullspeed.

We even got a speeding ticket of $39 from the local water police because we were 1.8 mph too fast.

We put at least one TB per km (about half a mile) into the water and much more in the city centre of course.

When we arrived at the campsite in the evening a big fish jumped out of the water right in front of us and some nice clouds also appeared at the entire blue sky right above us.

We drove down to the East of Berlin to prepare the last tour from another campsite there.

Altogether it was a distance of 162 miles which is now gifted with a total of 450 TBs.

In the following we drove northward to Mecklenburg Lake District and spent the rest of our holidays at Müritzsee, Germanys biggest lake beneath Lake Constance which is divided between Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Of course the size of the lakes here is not comparable to the ones in the US or Canada. [Image Can Not Be Found];

We gifted the lake and its surroundings with the remaining 120 TBs.
