Here in Hilo we had the world peace festival on Saturday October 1 at Coconut Island.
The taiko group I am a member of drummed for the opening of the festival. Right after us mayor Billy Kenoi spoke.
We got there an hour before we were to perform. I gifted a few towerbusters around the island, throwing them into the water. Dropped one in as I walked across the bridge to the island.
Was very pleasant on the island. I wish I could have stayed, there was cool stuff going on all day. But we all had to run down to Volcano Village for a performance.
Here are two videos from the world peace festival that can show you what it was like. There is footage of the taiko group, but I am not playing on the songs they chose to include.

As I was leaving some people were looking over the bridge, and a sea turtle was swimming by.
Then we all ran down to Volcano Village to the Volcano Art Center to perform again. This was for the art gallery to premiere an exhibit for their Faces of Hawaii series. I believe that this is vol 4 of the book that was coming out. I got there over an hour before we were to perform. Passed a tower about a quarter of a mile from the gallery, and gifted it. Got to the gallery and put out a few tower busters around.
Hung out, performed, ate some food. took some pictures. they had a little self-guided nature walk you could take behind the gallery, in a rain forest. It was really cool.
Photos below are first from the world peace festival, then photos from the art gallery, and from the nature walk. The two towers are the towers in Volcano that I gifted, both were across the street from each other. I am sure that Madam Pele appreciated the gifts…
