From June 2021 to June 2022, officer calls for police service in Ocean City, Maryland decreased by 16%, from 6,144 to 5,182.
Police Deputy Communications Manager Ashley Miller omitted the percentage, and said, only-generally, that the decrease was due to “reallocating all our officers to hot spots”.
Those are examples of the propaganda technique known as “stonewalling”.

When, in fact, from 2021 to 2022, homicides in the United States decreased by 2%, while gun assaults in the United States decreased by 6%.
Decreasing homicides in the United States cannot in good faith be described as (sic) “soaring nationally”.
I have exposed the duplicity of the Washington Post by using what was known in the old days as “fact checking”.
The general “homicides soar” is an example of the “Big Lie” so favored by Hitler, Goebbels and small-town Mayors the world over.
It is also a thinly-veiled reference to the ancient Bird cult of the Neanderthal.

When, in fact, the murder rate in Los Angeles decreased by 4% in the first six months of 2021.

The Manila Times omitted the statistic, and said, that it was because of “the quarantine restrictions and measures being implemented due to Covid-19.”
Where the omission of the statistic, the hedging generalities “restrictions” and “measures” and the plausible-deniability excuse “due to Covid-19” are examples of the propaganda technique known as “stonewalling”.
