From 2018/19 to 2021/22, the Washington state razor clam harvest increased by 116%, or more than doubled, to the highest level in history

THE DATA

From 2017/18 to 2018/19, the Washington state razor clam season increased by 32%, from 2,840,843 to 3,742,861.

From 2017/18 to 2018/19, the average number of clams per digger trip increased by 100% , from 15 to 30.

From 2018/19 to 2021/22, the Washington state razor clam harvest increased by 116% , or more than doubled, from 3,742,861 to 8,114,766, to the highest level in history.

WDFW coastal shellfish manager Day Ayers attributed the sudden, exponential increase of razor clams in 2021 and 2022 in Washington state to the highest level ever seen, in all history to “healthy ocean conditions”, and described them as only “very abundant”, and said that the season was merely “memorable”.

The uncredited author from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife called by-far the largest razor clam harvest in all history as “one of the strongest populations seen in the past 25 years.”

Where “seen” walks it back a step from the state of Washington actually experiencing it.

From 2020 to 2021, the Maryland oyster harvest increased by 53% , from 333,000 bushels to 511,000 bushels.

Wtop.com’s Michelle Basch attributed the sudden, exponential increase in oyster production in Maryland to “favorable weather conditions.”

THE ARTICLES

In April 2022, wtop.com said “Maryland oyster harvest sees biggest haul in decades”.

Where author Michelle Basch said “sees biggest haul in decades” to walk it back a step from Maryland actually experiencing it.

Biggest haul in decades” is general. As a propagandist, Michelle knows that, since sixty to seventy percent of readers only read the headlines, her technique goes a long way toward “compartmentalizing” awareness of the scope and speed of the exponential increase in shellfish populations I’m documenting here.

“Biggest haul in decades” bravely but falsely implies that it was more-assiduous oyster-hauling that led to the largest oyster harvest in the history of the state of Maryland.

Michelle goes on to say “The Bay Journal reports that the total was about 511,000 bushels, up from 333,000 during the previous season. The final number is still being calculated.”

She tacked the snide “the Bay Journal reports” on the front end to give the subconscious of the Coincidence theorist reader the green light to say “oh, but that’s just one report!”, or, “oh, that Bay Journal will report anything!” The propagandist knows that many or most readers will grasp virtually any straw, no matter how thin, to remain off the hook of personal responsibility.

Michelle hid the magnitude of the increase with the general “up from 333,333”. So, I was forced to do the math to learn that, from 2020 to 2021, the Maryland oyster harvest increased by 53%, from 333,000 bushels to 511,000 bushels.

The article goes on to say “Oyster season in Maryland runs from October through the end of March, and preliminary state figures show the 2021 to 2022 harvest in the Chesapeake Bay was the largest since the 1986 to 1987 season.”

Can you see how, despite professing to be an investigative journalist by trade, wtop.com’s Michelle Basch didn’t mention how many oysters were harvested in 1986/1987? That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

Michelle attributed the sudden, exponential increase in the oyster population to “favorable weather conditions”.

She’s desperate to keep you from recognizing that the size, fertility, longevity, and very existence of any organism varies directly with the health of its etheric environment.

In May 2022, kxro.com said ““Memorable” Razor Clam Season Saw Over 8 Million Clams Harvested”.

Where, under the false guise of familiarity, the uncredited author omitted any mention of Geography, to make the subject far less searchable. That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

For the record, they’re talking about the state of Washington.

Any time an author is uncredited, it is proof that said author is an Intelligence asset.

The curiously-uncredited author said "saw over 8 million clams harvested" to walk it back a step from Washington actually experiencing it.

“ ‘Thanks to healthy ocean conditions providing very abundant populations of razor clams, the 2021–22 season was one for the record books with nearly 8.4 million clams harvested taken in 484,324 diggers trips,’ said Dan Ayres, WDFW coastal shellfish manager."

There’s no mention in the article as to what the previous season’s harvest numbers were, or the margins between the old record and the new. That’s an example of the propaganda technique called “compartmentalization”.

WDFW coastal shellfish manager Dan Ayers attributed the sudden, exponential increase of razor clams in Washington state to the highest level ever seen, in all history to the only-general “healthy ocean conditions”, and described them as only “very abundant”, and said that the season was merely "memorable". As a bonus, the uncredited author put “memorable” in quotes in the headline, to call it into question.

He’s desperate to keep you from recognizing that the size, fertility, longevity and very existence of any organism vary directly with the health of its etheric environment.

The 2017/2018 Washington state razor clam season was 2,840,843, from 257,004 diggers trips.

The 2018/2019 Washington state razor clam season was 3,742,861, from 272,962 diggers trips.

From 2017/18 to 2018/19, the Washington state razor clam season increased by 32%, from 2,840,843 to 3,742,861.

From 2017/18 to 2018/19, the average number of clams per digger trip increased by 100% , from 15 to 30.

WDFW coastal shellfish manager Dan Ayers used the general “nearly 8.4 million clams”. The uncredited author went on to say:

Long Beach: 3,187,179 razor clams harvested on 189,384 digger trips.

· Twin Harbors: 2,092,415 razor clams harvested on 123,652 digger trips.

· Copalis: 1,612,069 razor clams harvested on 96,380 digger trips.

· Mocrocks: 1,233,103 razor clams harvested on 74,908 digger trips.

I added them up and got 8,114,766, from 484,324 diggers trips.

In 2017/18, the average number of clams per digger trip was 15.

In 2018/19, the average number of clams per digger trip was 30.

In 2021/2022, the average number of clams per digger trip was 16.75.

From 2018/19 to 2021/22, the Washington state razor clam harvest increased by 116%, or more than doubled, from 3,742,861 to 8,114,766, to the highest level in history.

In May 2022, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife said “Memorable razor clam digging season wraps up with a record harvest”.

“The coastal razor clam season wrapped up on Saturday (May 7) in what’s been a very memorable season and the future looks bright with one of the strongest populations seen in the past 25 years.”

Where the uncredited author called by-far the largest razor clam harvest in all history as “one of the strongest populations seen in the past 25 years.”
