Hello fellow gifters,
I just wanted to give my thanks to Don and the people in the session
last Sunday for giving me a boost – I’m doing a little better than
normal days.
Just to fill you in, I currently go to a clinic every week to get
treated for heavy depression. As long as I stay on my meds I’m OK.
No sob story – its ironic/funny because I am able to go outside and
gift more places since the medication, and Don was joking about it [Image Can Not Be Found]
There are some juicy towers waiting to get busted…
Lots of chopper activity recently where I gifted, mainly ocean costs near
where I live.
You might want to check the photo link below of the kind of choppers
I see sometimes : white black hawk types with a circular thing on its
belly, almost looks like a sensor or radar.
I was at my clinic last Sunday and while waiting for my turn, I had
coincidentally picked up Newsweek magazine February edition, and
the first page I turned to had a picture of Haiti with the chopper.
I feel terribly sorry for the people there…
Anyway, I took a photo of it from my cell phone, and sent it to Don
because a picture paints a thousand words – sorry to always bug you [Image Can Not Be Found]
Mid July 2009 was when I got hit very strong by something. Two of my
laptops were stolen – all my work accumulated from about 10 years ago
was in the larger laptop, and I just transferred all my data to the smaller
brand new laptop, but both were in the car that particular day, and while
I was having dinner at a restaurant, my car was broken into and the bags
with the laptops both vanished – a pro job – punched a hole in the door and
popped the lock with a screw driver or something…
Damage to the car == 10000 USD (insurance replaced the whole door…)
Monetary damage value == 6,000 USD
My DATA and sentimental value == priceless!!!
Since then, my depression became worse and worse (obviously), and in
mid October the last straw finally broke – could not get out of bed, and lost
my job and my income, and my server had to shut down so no email,
no car, no internet, no cell phone, no nothing…
Luckily my family was very supportive of my condition so I still have
a place to live, and a new internet connection – yeah!
So, having said all that, I’m doing fine – thanks again to Don and the
people involved in the session last Sunday.
Some of the posts I read were also very encouraging and heart-warming.
Thanks to all of you posters and your efforts!
Its been one month since New Years day, but as I type this, its the
New Years Eve/Day for the “old” calendar in Japan.
We had our first patch of snow a few days ago, and that was very
enjoyable although it all melted away the following day…
China and all the China Towns around the world should be celebrating
their turn of the year, blasting the streets with many fireworks, so
Happy New Year!
I had planned to see the first sunrise from the Pacific Ocean front,
so Dec 31st I drove a few hours to see the first glimpse of the sun
- after all, Japan is also called the Land of the Rising Sun right? So
technically speaking, with the time difference and all, I got to see the
first daylight before all of you [Image Can Not Be Found]
boast boast…
While I was waiting for the sun to rise, I was enjoying the full moon,
and we had a partial eclipse! What a view! And it apparently was one
in a few hundred years!
The next partial eclipses we have is June 26 and Dec 21, so numerically
its cool : 11(Jan 1) 626(June 26) and 1221(Dec 21)
On Jan 2, I went to a famous shrine and prayed my prayers for some
good luck and fortune for this year (its a tradition to do this almost
everywhere in Japan).
I linked some photos of the first full moon and the first sunrise, and the
famous shrine.
enjoy! [Image Can Not Be Found]
