I went on a one-hour train ride today followed by a good bike ride to do this one. It`s one of two giant antennas like this in Holland, the other got gifted years ago (near Utrecht).
It`s 303 meters high, and this construction was severely damaged in 2011 cause of a fire. During the first half of 2012 the antennas was rebuilt, and by now (in fact – tonight – ) it will be fully operational again – that is minus the DOR component of course. [Image Can Not Be Found]
This thing got overgifted irreversibly and will not do as much harm as before.
Only downside was the wind and rain that quickly followed gifting and made my bike ride less enjoyable, in a way [Image Can Not Be Found]
