“2023 Will Be the Year of the Electric SUV

Bloomberg.com, December 23, 2022

“NIO Electric Car Sales Decreased By 12% In January 2023 - especially significant is the 77% drop year-over-year in the crossover/SUV segment.”

Insideevs.com, February 1, 2023

“An EV-plosion”, ah, mirth. It’s what it must have been like reading State news reports in Nazi Germany in 1944. “Germany poised to invade United States!” That sort of thing.

How long do you think that these people have left in power, now?

Please consider doing what you can to help speed the process.

THE DATA

From 2021 to 2022, Volvo’s electric car sales decreased by 16.5%, to 102,038.

The uncredited Intelligence operative from the State propaganda organ known as greencarcongress.com said it was because of “challenges across the supply chain as well as production restraints caused by component shortages and COVID-related lockdowns in China.”

From 2022 to 2023, American electric car manufacturer Rivian Automotive’s stock price decreased by 82%.

From 2022 to 2023, American electric car manufacturer Lucid Group’s stock price decreased by 82%.

From December 2022 to January 2023, registrations for battery electric vehicles in Germany decreased by 83%.

On December 23, 2022, bloomberg.com said "2023 Will Be the Year of the Electric SUV ".

On January 5, 2023, Ernst and Young said "Electric vehicles continue charge toward sales dominance ".

In January 2023, China’s NIO’s electric crossover/SUV sales decreased by 77%, year-over-year, to 2,190 units.

Insideevs.com’s Mark Kane described the going-out-of-business decrease as “pretty massive”, and said it was because of “the upcoming refresh of the older crossover/SUV models”.

In January 2023, China’s NIO’s electric car sales decreased by 12%, year-over-year, to 8,806 units.

I don’t know about you, but if I sold less than 9,000 cars to a nation of a billion people, I’d fold my tent.

On January 5, 2023, Ernst and Young said “Electric vehicles continue charge toward sales dominance”.

On January 6, 2023, greencarcongress.com said “Volvo Car USA reported sales of 102,038 cars for the full year 2022, down 16.5% compared with the year before.”

Where the uncredited author from said “reported” to give the subconscious of the Coincidence theorist reader the green light to say “oh, but someone must have reported that incorrectly!” or “oh, but that was just one report!”. As propagandists, they know that many or most readers will grasp virtually any straw, no matter how thin, to remain off the hook of personal responsibility.

For those unaware, anytime an author is uncredited, it is proof that said author is an Intelligence operative.

The subhead reads “Especially significant is the 77% drop year-over-year in the crossover/SUV segment.”

Author Mark Kane goes on to say “The Chinese premium car brand reports that its total vehicle deliveries amounted to 8,506 last month, which is nearly 12 percent less than a year ago.”

On February 7, 2023, thedriven.io said “Electric car sales plummet in Germany following subsidy cut”.

Author Benjamin Wehrmann said “electric car sales plummet” because “plummet”, while lurid, is general. As a propagandist, he knows that, since seventy percent of readers only read the headlines, this hedging generality goes a long way toward “compartmentalizing” awareness of the specific magnitude of the decrease in trust which they are attempting to obfuscate.

As a bonus, it’s also a thinly-veiled reference to Benjamin’s Lord, Lucifer:

(The fall of Lucifer, from “Paradise Lost”, by John Milton, 1667)

Benjamin goes on to say “Registrations of new electric vehicles collapsed in Germany following cuts in buyers’ premiums at the beginning of the year.”

Where “collapsed”, is once again lurid, and once again general.

Anytime an author repeats the headline like that, it’s a violent cue to the subconscious of the Coincidence theorist reader to stop reading immediately.

Benjamin’s hit-piece soldiers on:

“Registrations for battery electric vehicles dropped about 83 percent to 18,100 in January from 104,300 in December, when many people rushed to receive the full subsidy, according to the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA).” For the record, it’s 82.3%, which, wait for it, rounds up to 83%.
