THE ARTICLES

On February 21, 2022, lomoncloa.gob.es said “Spain reached its lowest crime rate in recent history in 2021”.

The author used “reached its lowest crime rate” because it is general. As a propagandist, they knows that, since sixty to seventy percent of readers only read the headlines, their hedging generality goes a long way toward “compartmentalizing” awareness of the scope and speed of the exponential decrease in crime that they are attempting to downplay and obfuscate.

The article goes on to say “The 1960113 criminal offences recorded in 2021 represent a decrease of 10.9 per cent compared to 2019.”

They said “criminal offences recorded” to give the subconscious of the Coincidence theorist reader the green light to say “oh, but someone must have recorded that incorrectly!”

As a propandist, they know that many or most readers will grasp virtually any straw, no matter how thin, to remain off the hook of personal responsibility.

Where author Patti Wetli used "shootings decreased" because it is general. As a propagandist, she knows that, since sixty to seventy percent of readers only read the headlines, her hedging generality goes a long way toward “compartmentalizing” awareness of the scope and speed of the exponential decrease in crime that she’s attempting to downplay and obfuscate.

She tacked “Police” on the end to give the subconscious of the Coincidence theorist reader the green light to say “oh, those Chicago Police will say anything!”

Patti knows that many or most readers will grasp virtually any straw, no matter how thin, to remain off the hook of personal responsibility.

The article goes on to say “For the fifth consecutive month, the Chicago Police Department reported a decline in homicides from the same period a year prior.”

Basically repeating the headline is a cue to the subconscious of the Coincidence theorist to stop reading, with the still only-general “decline in homicides” holding the line on obfucating the scope and speed of the exponential decrease in crime.

The article goes on to say “In July 2022, homicides were down nearly 38% from July 2021: 67 homicides versus 108, according to data provided by the department.”

Patti craftily worded as “were down” to imply “but that’s all in the past”. She didn’t want to plainly state that, in July 2022, homicides in Chicago decreased by 38%, year-over-year, from 108 to 67."

The article goes on to say “The number of shootings likewise dropped significantly, down from 459 in July 2021 to 345 in July 2022.”

Where Patti steadfastly omitted the percentage of the decrease, replacing it with the hedging generality “dropped significantly”.

She wanted to avoid plainly stating “In July 2022, shootings in Chicago decreased by 25%, year-over-year, from 459 to 345.”

On August 2, 2022, thesnaponline.com said “Police: Violent crime, property crime decreases in Albemarle”.

Where author Chris Miller used “crime decreases” because it is general. As a propagandist, he knows that, since sixty to seventy percent of readers only read the headlines, his hedging generality goes a long way toward “compartmentalizing” awareness of the scope and speed of the exponential decrease in crime that he’s attempting to downplay and obfuscate.

Under the false guise of familiarity, Chris omitted the name of the state, to make the subject less searchable. That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

The article goes on to say “Violent crime in Albemarle decreased by about 41 percent last year, according to the police department’s annual review, highlights of which were presented before City Council Monday night.
Murders fell 50 percent (three were reported in 2021 compared with six in 2020) and aggravated assault dropped 52 percent (56 occurred in 2021 compared with 116 in 2020) though rape and robbery saw slight increases.”

Chris said “murders fell 50%” because falling is general, and because falling is unfortunate, and because it is softer than “dropped or decreased” and also as an allusion to the fallen Lord Lucifer.
