“If you do not hope, you will not find that which is not hoped for; since it is difficult to discover and impossible to attain”.

From “On Nature”, by Heraclitus, Greece, 500 B.C.

The two stories that follow are from just a few days ago. Published one day after the other, they are examples of what is known as “horizontal propaganda” or “integration propaganda”.

“Horizontal propaganda thus is very hard to make (particularly because it needs so many instructors), but it is exceptionally efficient through its meticulous encirclement of everybody, through the effective participation of all present, and through their public declarations of adherence. It is peculiarly a system that seems to coincide perfectly with egalitarian societies claiming to be based on the will of the people and calling themselves democratic: each group is composed of persons who are alike, and one actually can formulate the will of such a group. But all this is ultimately much more stringent and totalitarian than explosive propaganda. Thanks to this system Mao has succeeded in passing from subversive propaganda to integration propaganda.”

― From “Propaganda: the Formation of Men’s Attitudes”, by Jacques Ellul, 1973

“Propaganda works best when those who are being manipulated are confident they are acting on their own free will.”

THE DATA

In 1913, the population of the United States was 97,225,000.

In 1913, the 170,211 Model T Fords sold represented .175% of the population of the United States of 97,225,000.

In 2000, a study in the Western Journal of Medicine showed that a dose response gradient existed between microwave radiation exposure and suicide mortality among electricians in the United States, with a rate which ranged from 100% greater in the lowest exposure category to 190% greater in the highest exposure category, for an average of 70% greater than it was among those not so employed.

That same study showed that a dose response gradient existed between microwave radiation exposure and suicide mortality among electricians aged fifty years or younger in the United States, with a rate which ranged from 112% greater in the lowest exposure category to 162% greater in the highest exposure category than it was among those not so employed, for an average of 137% greater.

First author Edwin van Wijngaard said that increased exposure to microwave radiation drove exponential increases in suicide because of “a plausible mechanism related to melatonin and depression”.

From 2022 to 2023, plug-in electric car registrations in Germany decreased by 16%, to “almost 700,000”.

In March 2024, the .018% ratio of 134,397 battery electric vehicles sold in Europe to the 741,774,114 population of Europe was 90% less than the .175% ratio of the 170,211 Model T Fords sold versus the 97,225,000 population of the United States.

In March 2024, the 134,397 battery electric car registrations in Europe were 86% less than the 941,042 Model T Fords sold in 1920.

In March 2023, total new plug-in electric car registrations in Germany decreased by 22%, year-over-year, to 47,400.

Insideevs.com’s Mark Kane said it was because of “the end of a tax incentive for all-electric cars in 2023”.

Mark didn’t mention that the sudden, exponential decrease in electric vehicle sales in Germany was part of a wider trend taking place regardless of culture or geography.

That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

In the March 2024, the market share of plug-in electric cars in Germany decreased by 16.6%, year-over-year, from 21.6% to 18%.

Insideevs.com’s Mark Kane omitted the percentage, and described it only-generally as “compared to”.

In March 2024, battery electric vehicles share of the European market decreased by 6.6%, year-over-year, from 13.9% to 13%.

The uncredited Intelligence operative from the State propaganda organ known as the European Automobile Manufacturer’s Association omitted the percentage, and described it only generally as “slipped”, and then in Mil-speak as “a shift in the car market’s composition”.

The uncredited author from the European Automobile Manufacturer’s Association said that it was part of an “overall market downturn”, but did not offer any suggestion as to why it was taking place.

That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “stonewalling”.

THE ARTICLES

APRIL 2024

On April 18, 2024, ACEA said “New car registrations: -5.2% in March 2024; battery electric 13% market share”.

Where, under the false guise of familiarity, the uncredited author omitted mention of the fact that they were talking about Europe, to make the subject less searchable.

That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

They also crowed that battery electric vehicles had a 13% market share, partly to celebrate the use of the important Illuminist number 13, and partly to omit mention of the fact that sales of battery electric vehicles had just decreased suddenly and exponentially.

That’s an example of a propaganda technique known as “misdirection”.

For those unaware, anytime an author is uncredited, it is proof that said author is an Intelligence operative.

The uncredited Intelligence operative from the European Automobile Manufacturer’s Association waved the doll of “new car registrations”, as a whole, to distract the reader from the sudden, exponential decrease in the sales of battery electric vehicles.

That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “misdirection”.

The article goes on to say “Last March saw a shift in the car market’s composition: battery-electric cars slipped to a 13% share from last year’s 13.9%.”

In March 2024, battery-electric car registrations declined by 11.3% to 134,397 units, reflecting the broader market downturn. Consequently, their market share shrank from 13.9% in March 2023 to 13% in the same month of this year. "

Where, bizarrely, the first paragraph incorrectly uses “last March”, which means “March 2023” to refer to March 2024.

This bit of Black magic gets the subconscious to say “oh, that’s ancient history!” and stop reading.

They’re doing what they to obscure the fact that, in March 2024, battery electric vehicles share of the European market decreased by 6.6%, year-over-year, from 13.9% to 13%.

The European Automobile Manufacturers Association omitted the percentage, said only-generally that it “slipped” and “shrank”, and then described it again in Mil-speak “a shift in the car market’s composition”.

We’ve just learned that the curiously-uncredited author used March 2023’s 13% market share for battery electric vehicles in Europe and presented them with a straight face as March 2024’s.

If you are a practicing Coincidence theorist, you will affirm that it was simply an innocent mistake by the author ,which also got past the editor.

In March 2024, battery electric vehicle registrations in Europe decreased by 11.3%, year-over-year, to 134,397 units.

To provide some perspective for grade school children studying the subject in the future, Henry Ford began selling the Model T in 1909, selling 10,660 cars, and passed Europe’s March 2024 battery electric car number with 170,211 sold just four years later in 1913. Then, just seven years after that, in 1920, they sold 941,042 Model T’s.

In 1913, the population of the United States was 97,225,000.

Model T Fords
(Model T Fords ready for delivery)

The Internet just told me “the current population of Europe is 741,774,114 as of Friday, April 19, 2024”.

On April 19, 2024, the population of Europe was 741,774,114.

In March 2024, the 134,397 battery electric car registrations in Europe were 85.7% less than the 941,042 Model T Fords sold in 2020.

In March 2024, the 134,397 battery electric vehicles sold in Europe represented .018% of the population of Europe of 741,774,114.

In 1913, the 170,211 Model T Fords sold represented .175% of the population of the United States of 97,225,000.

In March 2024, the .018% ratio of 134,397 battery electric vehicles sold in Europe to the 741,774,114 population of Europe was 89.7% less than the .175% ratio of the 170,211 Model T Fords sold versus the 97,225,000 population of the United States.

It’s not strictly apples-to-apples, in that a small percentage of Fords vehicles were sold internationally during that time period, however the point is more than clear.

Electric cars are a fantastic boondoggle, and I’m pleased to say that it is failing.

boondoggle - noun - work or activity that is wasteful or pointless but gives the appearance of having value.

APRIL 2024

On April 19, 2024, insideevs.com said “Plug-In Car Sales In Germany Down 22% In March 2024”. The subhead goes on to say “All-electric car sales decreased even more, by 29% year-over-year.”

There is a strict rule in journalism, where you list the highest number or percentage first, and then the rest in descending order.

Yet, here, author Mark Kane Satanically inverted it, in journalistic parlance “burying” the larger 29% below the 22% in the headline above.

As a propagandist, Mark knows that 70% of readers only read the headlines, and he’s doing what he can to hedge and defray.

The article goes on to say “In March, new passenger car registrations in Germany decreased by 6.2% year-over-year to 217,388. During the first three months of the year, the number of registrations amounted to 694,785, up 4.2% compared to a year ago.”

Passenger cars, wait, what? The article is about decreasing electric car sales in Germany. Yet the first headline is talking about passenger cars.

With each passing sentence, the likeliness is greater that the Coincidence theorist reader will stop reading. The propagandist’s mission is to hedge and defray in the hopes that the reader bails before getting to anything meaningful.

The article goes on to say “Meanwhile, plug-in electric car sales continue to struggle following the end of a tax incentive for all-electric cars in 2023. During the past seven months, only one month had a year-over-year increase in rechargeable car registrations.”

Where the general “continue to struggle” obscures any actual data on the sudden, exponential decrease in electric car sales in Germany which they are attempting to obfuscate.

That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

With each passing sentence, the likeliness is greater that the Coincidence theorist reader will stop reading. The propagandist’s mission is to hedge and defray in the hopes that the reader bails before getting to anything meaningful.

Fantastically, the next bit is hidden in an unsearchable, unsavable photo caption. I had to hand-type it out, here: “Get Fully Charged - Growth in 2024 will be challenging (bolded as a headline). In 2023, almost 700,000 new plug-in cars were registered in Germany, down 16% compared to 2022. The Q1 2024 is also in the red and it seems that achieving growth this year will be challenging.”

Where “almost 700,000” falsely implies that the number is climbing, and where the general “in the red” is used to redact any specific information on electric car sales in Germany in the 1st Quarter of 2024.

The latter is an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

Can you see how Mark got the crowd in the Punch and Judy tent all lathered up with “Get Fully Charged” and then “Growth” as the headline and subhead of his new paragraph on exponentially decreasing electric car sales in Germany?

That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “misdirection”.

From 2022 to 2023, plug-in electric car registrations in Germany decreased by 16%, to “almost 700,000”.

The article goes on to say “In March, the total new plug-in electric car registrations amounted to 47,400, down 22% year-over-year. The market share decreased to 18.0%, compared to 21.6% a year ago”.

There is a strict rule in journalism, where you list the highest number or percentage first, and then the rest in descending order.

Yet, here, author Mark Kane Satanically inverted it, in journalistic parlance “burying” the larger 22% decrease below the 16% in the preceding paragraph.

That’s an example of what is known as Black magic, which is hidden behind the general meme “spin”.

Mark redacted the percentage decrease in the market share of plug-in electric cars in Germany, and replaced it with the gneral “compared to”.

That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

So, I had to do the math.

In the March 2024, the market share of plug-in electric cars in Germany decreased by 16.6%, year-over-year, from 21.6% to 18%.

In March 2023, total new plug-in electric car registrations in Germany decreased by 22%, to 47,400.

Most spectacularly of all, Mark Kane does not exist. It’s a pseudonym which a rotating team of unnamed Intelligence operatives publishes under.

If you don’t believe me, go do an image search for him.

The last name, “Kane”, is a pun on Cain, from the Bible. It’s a thinly-veiled reference to the Neanderthal line of Cain which has ruled things in all the nations all the way back to Babylon, and before.

Insideevs.com figured that the rubes would never notice.

To maintain current programming levels, read Mark’s biography from insideevs.com, taking care to breathe only through your mouth while doing so:

"Mark Kane is a daily news writer at InsideEVs and a European correspondent since 2013. With a background in electrical engineering and programming, Mark became passionate about electric cars around 2007 before the first lithium-ion powered models, like the original Tesla Roadster, entered the market. He has comprehensive knowledge of EVs, with a strong focus on European EV sales, as well as range and efficiency comparisons, fast charging evaluations, and more. Mark prefers numbers, tables, and charts over words to precisely show details or differences between various EVs. "

However I’m sorry to say that you are going to have to come up with your own explanation as to why his bio doesn’t include a photograph.
