isn’t there a way to make sure the copper tubes on a CB stay shiny? it is such a pity to see the esthetic aspect of a new CB degrade so quickly. I’m thinking perhaps there exists some treatment i don’t know about…

Adding lacquer or varnish to the outside of the tubes may stop the oxidation but it may also affect the functioning of the CB. Personally I wouldn´t experiment with the copper tubes since they are so expensive and the function of the CB is obviously more important that its aesthetic qualities, although you could remove the lacquer/varnish later with a strong solvent.
