Hi don, I should explain the pictures, did I already? I dunno but That is the Todd River in Alice Springs. Normally it might flood Approx. once in 27 years. These photos are from late feb Anyway After 3 unprecedented floodings in a year (2010) she might be up and running. Most of Australias “ethereal rivers” are flowing. I might add this process began last year. Last years rain was crucial in providing the spark. Bit like pouring petrol down the sparkplug hole to crank a big old engine!
Talk soon
Tony
Awesome stuff – My thoughts are that perhaps some re balancing is happening in Oz – 3 Todd river floods in a year rather than once in 27 years………
Victoria is getting battered by rain – too much really – seems perhaps 10 years worth of rain is all coming at once within just one year
Keep on gifting down under!
reminds me of what’s been happening in Kalahari (Botswana, South Africa, Namibia) lately. It just seems that a critical threshold has to be reached and then big things are happening. Gifting in Australia has been lagging behind for some years, probably due to the successful brainwashing of Australians who are still part of the british empire. But now it’s catching up and the results show.
