My wife and I just watched the 2010 animated film “Despicable Me” for the first time, ever. Her office is going to dress as characters from the movie. Maxine, wonderfully, gets to be the cute protagonist daughter Agnes (that is as opposed to a golem or “Minion”, like most of the staff).
Actually, they’re not generally-described “minions”, but rather, they are, in fact, artificial life forms, known down through the ages as golems or homonculi.
“A golem is a creature formed out of a lifeless substance such as dust or earth that is brought to life by ritual incantations and sequences of Hebrew letters.”
“The oldest stories of golems date to early Judaism. In the Talmud (Tractate Sanhedrin 38b), Adam was initially created as a golem (גולם) when his dust was “kneaded into a shapeless husk”. Like Adam, all golems are created from mud by those close to divinity, but no anthropogenic golem is fully human. Early on, the main disability of the golem was its inability to speak. Sanhedrin 65b describes Rava creating a man (gavra). He sent the man to Rav Zeira. Rav Zeira spoke to him, but he did not answer. Rav Zeira said, “You were created by the sages; return to your dust” (Imperial Aramaic: הוה קא משתעי בהדיה ולא הוה קא מהדר ליה אמר ליה מן חבריא את הדר לעפריך).”
“One source credits 11th-century Solomon ibn Gabirol with creating a golem,[10] possibly female, for household chores.[11]”
Where “possibly female” and “for household chores” tell us that it was created as a sex slave.
“The earliest known written account of how to create a golem can be found in Sodei Razayya by Eleazar ben Judah of Worms of the late 12th and early 13th centuries.[13]”
“During the Middle Ages, passages from the Sefer Yetzirah (Book of Creation) were studied as a means to create and animate a golem, although little in the writings of Jewish mysticism supports this belief. It was believed that golems could be activated by an ecstatic experience induced by the ritualistic use of various letters of the Hebrew alphabet[1] forming a “shem” (any one of the Names of God), wherein the shem was written on a piece of paper and inserted in the mouth or in the forehead of the golem.[7]”
Where “ritualistic use of various letters of the Hebrew alphabet” is Mil-speak for "Wrote a Black magic spell in Hebrew.
“Samuel of Speyer (12th century) was said to have created a golem”.
“Paracelsus is credited with the first mention of the homunculus in De homunculis (c. 1529–1532), and De natura rerum (1537).”
Can you see how knowledge of the golem was coin-of-the-realm throughout the Middle Ages, but not admitted in print by the West until the 1500’s? In propaganda terms, that’s called “slow-playing it”.
“The most famous golem narrative involves Judah Loew ben Bezalel, the late 16th-century rabbi of Prague. Many tales differ on how the golem was brought to life and controlled.”
Can you see how the hedging generalization “many tales” blacks out in just what specific sort of malefic way these hideous creatures are brought into being? That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.
“In 1625, Joseph Delmedigo wrote. “many legends of this sort are current, particularly in Germany.”[12]”
Despite the fact that everybody in all the nations was talking about it and acknowledged it, the Illuminist talking head shill from the 1600’s whitewashes the subject, speaks of it in a hedging generality (legends of this sort), and compartmentalizes it to those bad, crazy Germans.
We recall that “The main disability of the golem was its inability to speak”.
In the hugely popular “Despicable Me” franchise, Gru’s “minions” speak in gibberish; they are effectively unable to speak.

Homonculus
"The homunculus first appears by name in alchemical writings attributed to Paracelsus (1493–1541). De natura rerum (1537) outlines his method for creating homunculi:
'That the sperm of a man be putrefied by itself in a sealed cucurbit for forty days with the highest degree of putrefaction in a horse’s womb, or at least so long that it comes to life and moves itself, and stirs, which is easily observed. After this time, it will look somewhat like a man, but transparent, without a body. If, after this, it be fed wisely with the Arcanum of human blood, and be nourished for up to forty weeks, and be kept in the even heat of the horse’s womb, a living human child grows therefrom, with all its members like another child, which is born of a woman, but much smaller.[1]: 328–329 '."
Now that’s some illin’ Black magic.
But that’s not why I wrote this article, or even what it is mainly about. As part of my creation of a complete compilation of all my articles published since I went to my own mailing list in late 2018, I just re-read my article from October 3, 2020, see bold text below, and realized how important vectors are in hyperdimensional physics.
And, far more importantly, why they named the asshole, loser Millenial villain in that movie “Vector”.
They figured the rubes would never notice.

Proposition: Technology is NOT applied Science.
Sci/Tech are sibling disciplines. That Tech uses empirical evidence, research, and math – doesn’t make them sciences. Science’s objectives and contexts are comprehensions. Tech’s objectives are designing/creating real systems. Science uses instrumentation from Tech. Tech uses Science’s formulations of processes. One person can be both scientist and technologist (engineer). Smil’s article is primarily a History of Tech, which did get its start from Maxwell.
James Clerk Maxwell was surely a genius, of whom I know almost nothing – need to read this Wikipedia biography. Yet, for me, Maxwell’s Equations are the Mona Lisa of Science, far superior in beauty than Einstein’s (in my opinion). I learned Maxwell in two graduate courses at the University of Chicago, 1957-58, taught by Nobel winner & genius Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar, which I have written about elsewhere. These were the two best classes in my whole educational career. I have completely forgotten this physics/math.
Maxwell’s equations were not his, but were produced by Heaviside after Maxwell’s death. Maxwell’s own equations were in quaternions:
“Maxwell expressed electromagnetism in the algebra of quaternions and made the electromagnetic potential the centrepiece of his theory. In 1881 Oliver Heaviside replaced Maxwell’s electromagnetic potential field by ‘force fields’ as the centrepiece of electromagnetic theory. Heaviside reduced the complexity of Maxwell’s theory down to four differential equations, known now collectively as Maxwell’s Laws or Maxwell’s equations. According to Heaviside, the electromagnetic potential field was arbitrary and needed to be “murdered”. The use of scalar and vector potentials is now standard in the solution of Maxwell’s equations.
Where the Mil-speak “reduced the complexity” is used in place of the truth, that Heaviside chopped out the “Ether” part.

"Somewhere, long ago, I read that Heaviside, in reducing the equations from quaternions to vectors, eliminated an important and very real type of force/interaction from the field. These had to do with the direct interaction of rotating bodies, such as Jupiter and its moons – which was claimed to result in the specific latitude location of the Great Spot.
Is this Fake Science, or a neglected phenomenon; seen today as just local/temporary specifics of a real system, not resulting from a deeper system of interactions?
