In April 2024, the 41% decrease in new electric vehicle sales in Ireland was 754% greater than the 4.8% average monthly year-over-year decrease in new electric vehicle registrations in Ireland from January through April 2024.

MAY 2024
On May 1, 2024, rte.ie said “New electric vehicle sales drop over 40% in April”.
Where, under the false guise of familiarity, author Gill Steadman omitted any mention of geography, and also omitted mention of the year.
For the record, the headline should read “New electric vehicle sales in Ireland decreased by 41% in April 2024, year-over-year.”
Gill said “drop” because it’s softer than “decreased”, but mostly as a thinly-veiled reference to the fallen Lord Lucifer.
