“Now that Barnum is running for Congress, anything connected with him is imbued with new interest. Therefore I went to his museum yesterday, along with the other children. There is little or nothing in the place worth seeing, and yet how it draws!..Barnum’s museum is one vast peanut stand now, with a few cases of dried frogs and other wonders scattered here and there, to give variety to the thing.”
Mark Twain, in San Francisco’s Alta California, April 9, 1867
“His famous comment, ‘There’s a sucker born every moment’, taken out of context, does not acknowledge how willingly (P.T. Barnum’s) viewers were duped.”
From “The Oxford Companion to Mark Twain”, by Gregg Camfield, 2003
On August 2, 2022, currentaffairs.org explained “Why the Chair of the Lancet’s COVID-19 Commission Thinks The US Government Is Preventing a Real Investigation Into the Pandemic.”
Where the uncredited author used the general “the Chair” in place of the Chair’s name, to make the subject far less searchable. That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.
For those late to the party, anytime an author is uncredited, it is proof that said author is, in fact, an Intelligence operative.
The uncredited Intelligence operative writing the hit-piece for currentaffairs.org knows that, since sixty to seventy percent of readers only read the headlines, the hedging generality goes a long way toward blunting awareness of just exactly whom Lancet Chair Professor Jeffrey Sachs actually even is .
The article goes on to say “Prof. Jeffrey Sachs says he is “pretty convinced [COVID-19] came out of US lab biotechnology” and warns that there is dangerous virus research taking place without public oversight.”
Where “development of weaponized pathogens” has been walked back to “dangerous virus research”.
In the criminal world, it’s called copping a plea.
Copping a plea - idiom - To plead guilty to a lesser charge in order to avoid a trial or a more severe punishment.
The article goes on to say “Prof. Jeffrey Sachs is the Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University and the President of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. He has also served as the chair of the COVID-19 commission for leading medical journal the Lancet. Through his investigations as the head of the COVID-19 commission, Prof. Sachs has come to the conclusion that there is extremely dangerous biotechnology research being kept from public view, that the United States was supporting much of this research, and that it is very possible that SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19, originated through dangerous virus research gone awry.”
Where “weaponization of Chinese bat viruses” has been walked back to the general “dangerous biotechnology research”.
I’ve got news for you, folks. Those extra four amino acids that make the Covid virus more transmissible to humans did not add themselves.
The article goes on to say “Prof. Sachs recently co-authored a paper in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences calling for an independent inquiry into the virus’s origins. He believes that there is clear proof that the National Institutes of Health and many members of the scientific community have been impeding a serious investigation of the origins of COVID-19 and deflecting attention away from the hypothesis that risky U.S.-supported research may have led to millions of deaths. If that hypothesis is true, the implications would be earth-shaking, because it might mean that esteemed members of the scientific community bore responsibility for a global calamity.”
Did you notice how, now that the cat is clawing its way out of the bag, there’s not a single mention of the Godless Communist Red Chinese who bankrolled the operation? I’m talking about the $60 million-plus dollars they gave Harvard’s Dr. Charles Lieber to set up the hot-rod virus lab in Wuhan.
In propaganda terms, this excising of one of the main perpetrators is what is known as “damage control”.
The article goes on to say “In this interview, Prof. Sachs explains how he, as the head of the COVID-19 commission for a leading medical journal, came to the conclusion that powerful actors were preventing a real investigation from taking place. He also explains why it is so important to get to the bottom of the origins of COVID: because, he says, there is extremely dangerous research taking place with little accountability, and the public has a right to know since we are the ones whose lives are being put at risk without our consent.”
Can you see how the general “powerful actors” is put forward, as if neither Columbia University’s Professor Jeffrey Sachs nor anyone else knows any of their names?
The story blathers on, and doesn’t mention anything about the arrest and conviction of Harvard University’s Dr. Charles Lieber, or the fact that he invented injectable, neuron-mimicking neural probes in 2019 just prior to the release of the engineered virus and its vaccines. In an article at that time, he called them “exciting” and referred to them as “stealth technology”.
The words “mystery”, “baffled” and “puzzled” are memes, used, among numerous similar variants, whenever anyone in the wholly-controlled-and-coopted Political, Academic, Scientific and Media establishments wants to lie about, well, basically anything. One of those many variants is “kooky”. That’s why Current Affairs’ Nathan Robinson goes on to say:
“I think it’s very important to make clear that the “alternative hypothesis” is mainly a hypothesis about an accident, and scientific hubris. It’s important to distinguish the kooky theories from the incredibly plausible theories. Because what you’re talking about is people who did not appreciate the dangers of what they were doing.”
Where “did not appreciate the dangers of what they were doing” is Mil-speak for “added four amino acids to improve transmissibility to humans”.
Do you think even grade school children would buy this sort of excuse? Actually, the bad news is that many or most readers will grasp virtually any straw, no matter how thin, to avoid personal responsibility.
They’re also going to buy Dr. Charles Lieber’s bald-faced claim that the Chinese paid him sixty Mil to help them develop electric car batteries.
As noted by author Gregg Camfield, above, P.T. Barnum’s famous comment, ‘There’s a sucker born every moment’, taken out of context, does not acknowledge how willingly Barnum’s viewers were duped.
We’re simply not going to get out of this predicament until we get our heads right, I’m afraid.
Here’s Current Affairs’ Nathan Robinson’s picture, in Satanic green blazer with Satanic purple tie, with Kabbalist “Tree of Life” background, while making purportedly-secret Illuminist “gestures of recognition” with his hands:

(Current Affairs’ Nathan Robinson, who said that the addition of four amino acids to make the Covid-19 virus more transmissible to humans was the result of “accident” and “scientific hubris”, and the idea that it was done with malice and forethought was “kooky”.)
I have included his photograph so that you could get a better idea of what a generational Satanist in a position of marginal influence looks like.
Mr. Robinson figured that the rubes would never notice the coded visual language.
He and his co-conspirators are all related to one another through the maternal bloodline. They comprise between twenty and thirty percent of the populace, and are hiding in plain sight in every city, town and village on Earth.
It’s how the few have controlled the many all the way back to Babylon, and before.
But they say that the hardest part of solving a problem is recognizing that you have one.
Don Croft used to say “Parasites fear exposure above all else”.
At the end of the article, Sachs closes with “I can tell you one thing that I’ve learned from talking to a lot of scientists in the last couple of years: the technological capacity to do dangerous things using this biotechnology is extraordinary right now. So I want to know what’s being done. I want to know what other governments are doing, too, not just ours. I want some global control over this stuff.”
Can you see how he completely washes away the documented, proven-in-court connection between the Godless Communist Red Chinese and the equally-Godless Feds in the United States? He hides the Chinese behind the hedging generality “other governments”.
Other well-meaning yet bumbling unnamed governments, I see. No further questions, your Honor.
Columbia University’s Professor Jeffrey Sachs is masquerading as a truthteller, a savior, but he is, in fact, just another two-faced shill fighting a desperate rearguard action that will soon turn to rout.
On August 14, 2022, theconversation.com’s Edward C. Holmes said “The COVID lab leak theory is dead. Here’s how we know the virus came from a Wuhan market”.
Mr. Holmes has the fancy title of ARC Australian Laureate Fellow and Professor, University of Sydney. I guess he doesn’t read the Lancet. Or maybe it’s just that issue didn’t arrive yet.
Here’s the middle-ages, Punch and Judy explanation of the curiously-unnamed animal that the virus jumped to humans from in a completely natural and accidental way:
“The opportunity to find the direct animal host has probably passed. As the virus likely rapidly spread through its animal reservoir, it’s overly optimistic to think it would still be circulating in these animals today.”
Well, if that’s true, then why did the National Institute of Health award a $3.7 million grant in 2014 called “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence” to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China and a non-profit in New York City with the Orwellian name of “EcoHealth”?
It’s not true. Theconversation.com’s Edward C. Holmes is lying bald-fadedly. He’s using conscious deception while retaining the firmness of purpose that goes with complete honesty.
Yes, it was a Chinese bat. A bat with a brain larger and more powerful than that of many or most of the mouth-breathing Coincidence theorists reading the article in the lofty publication “the Conversation”.
The University of Sydney’s ARC Australian Laureate Fellow and Professor Edward C. Holmes is putting that puerile claptrap forward because he knows that many or most readers will grasp virtually any straw, no matter how thin, to remain off the hook of personal responsibility.
Puerile: ADJECTIVE
childishly silly and trivial
Claptrap: NOUN
absurd or nonsensical talk or ideas
