Re: theformer situation in sori in migori county

Sori as the name implies is situated on the mainland within the county of Migori. It lies a long the shore of Lake Victoria about 30 kms from Mohuru Bay. The major activities done in this region is fishing since for many years the areas had been very much dry. Every year the region was highly hit by excessive draught. No irrigation could be allowed to be carried out along this Lake shore using the water of Lake Victoria for there was a treaty signed with the government of Egypt during the colonial era that that water of Lake Victoria cannot be used for it may reduced the water table of Lake Victoria.
This are had been under severe problem but after our gifting, the area is now good for farming for the rain is now sufficient. Farmers can now till the land with a lot of hope and confidence, and the resultant benefit is quite remarkable.

They do grow bananas too for food and some for cash and the photograph there show the real result of the work of our gifting.

Most of these achievement was accounted due to the work initiated by our late brother David and Omondi Siru but now our flamboyant gifters as Nicholas, Chris and Omondi Siru is doing a lot to re-claim that region and the photos above do a lot to make us have hope and smile as we see new development.
Mrs O

In that are we had done much of our giftings there and even now we are still working there. Now the rain is quit sufficient and people are preparing the land for planting. The mbolea that we do supply them with has made them to highly improve in their production such the the frequent famine which had been a threat to them now are no more. So i just suggest that if we continue doing these we will emphatically transform the whole of t hat region.

I’ am very sure that in the future since they will not only rely on fishing for the area is just but by the lake shore of Victoria the region will be very much rich in both fishing husbandry and farming.
