The 36% increase in suicidality among 9 to 11 year olds texting four hours per day is double the 18% increase among those who play video games. Social media use had no impact on suicidality

Well I’m accustomed to a smooth ride
Or maybe I’m a dog who’s lost its bite
I don’t expect to be treated like a fool no more
I don’t expect to sleep through the night
Some people say a lie is just a lie
But I say why
Why deny the obvious child?
Why deny the obvious child?

THE DATA

“Violence in video games” is an oft-used meme put forward to explain away exponentially increasing suicide among the young. Well, if that’s true, then why is the 36% increase in suicidality among 9 to 11 year olds who text for four hours per day 100% greater, or double the 18% increase among those who play video games for the same time period?

It’s particularly damning in that it shows that the video game-addicted boys have a suicide rate which is half that of the phone-addicted, texting girls. As underscored by the fact that increased electromagnetic radiation from storms increases suicide among females, and decreases it among males.

It’s not like this is a complicated thesis.

In a 2023 study of American children aged 9 to 11 years, 38% had attempted suicide by the end of the two-year study period.

Suicidality among 9 to 11 year olds who texted for four hours per day increased by 36% .

Suicidality among 9 to 11 year olds who video chatted for four hours per day increased by 30%.

Suicidality among 9 to 11 year olds who watched videos for four hours per day increased by 21% .

Suicidality among 9 to 11 year olds who played video games for four hours per day increased by 18%.

“Bullying on social media” is an oft-used meme put forward to explain away exponentially increasing suicide among the young. Well, if that’s true, then why did a two-year 2023 study of American children aged 9 to 11 years show that social media use had no impact on suicidality?

In comment, UCSF Adolescent Medicine Specialist Kevin Nagata, M.D. said “that may be because, technically, kids aren’t allowed to be on social media platforms until they are 13 (though some still are), so we didn’t have as much data there.”

THE ARTICLES

On March 2, 2023, ucsf.edu said “Screen Time Tied to Suicide Risk for Tweens – But Don’t Panic”.

Where author Jess Berthold said “screen time tied to suicide risk” because, as a propagandist, she knows that sixty to seventy percent of readers only read the headlines, and her hedging generality goes a long way toward “compartmentalizing” awareness of the exponential speed and scope of the technology-driven increase in suicide which she is attempting to obfuscate.

The subhead goes on to say "Learn How Parents Can Help Kids Develop Safe Screen Habits".

Where Jess has craftily suggested that the problem is behavioral, despite the clear “screen time” laid out in the headline.

The article goes on to say:

“No one can blame parents for being spooked by new research finding that tweens’ risk of suicidal behavior increases with their amount of screen time. However, lead researcher Jason Nagata, MD, of UCSF Benioff Children Hospitals, says that caregivers should view these findings mostly as a reminder to ingrain healthy screen use habits in their kids as early as possible.”

Middle school “tweens” studying the subject in the future will marvel that a Medical Doctor could not and would not immediately suggest curtailing screen time that was proven to increase suicidality.

Here’s Jason Nagata, M.D.'s picture, on the left. He’s the guy in the Satanic purple tie, with his arms folded in a purportedly-secret Masonic “gesture of recognition”:

Can you see how Jason’s picture is slightly off-center to the left, to give prominence to his left eye?

They’s because the esteemed Dr. Nagata is a follower of the Left-hand path.

But don’t take my word for it:

The ucsf.edu article goes on to say:

"So your study found that screen use increases suicide risk?

The more time kids spend using screens from ages 9 to 11 years old, the higher their odds of suicidal behaviors two years later, at ages 11 to 13. Specifically, each additional hour of screen time increased the risk by 9%. The risk was highest with texting, followed by video chatting, watching videos, and playing video games. Social media didn’t show an effect, but that may be because, technically, kids aren’t allowed to be on social media platforms until they are 13 (though some still are), so we didn’t have as much data there."

Wow. “Social Media drives teen suicide” is one of the Big Lies used to cover the fact that it’s the time spent on the device, not the content, that matters most, in terms of increased suicidality. That’s why the bald-facedly lying, shiny-shoed Dr. Nagata is obfuscating the picture so desperately.

When I clicked the link to read the study, I learned instantly that UCSF’s Jess Berthold had selected the seventh and last author on the study, Dr. Jason Nagata, to quote in her article, and, to make the hideous ruse that much more spectacular, called him "lead researcher".

Say what you will about our literally blood-drinking Illuminist friends, there is simply no quit in them.

For those unaware, there is a strict order in which people are listed on Academic papers, from the most influential to the least. For the record, Jason Nagata MD is the seventh and very last author on the paper.

Here we can see the only generational Satanist shill in the lineup getting picked to be quoted in the mainstream news article, versus first author Jonathan Chu, who went completely unmentioned, along with Kyle T Ganson 2, Fiona C Baker 3, Alexander Testa 4, Dylan B Jackson 5, Stuart B Murray 6.

I have exposed the duplicity of the University of California at San Francisco’s Jess Berthold by using what was known in the old days as “fact checking”.

shill - noun - an accomplice of a hawker, gambler, or swindler who acts as an enthusiastic customer to entice or encourage others

Given Jess Berthold’s assiduous and ongoing obfuscation, I had to go to the study where Dr. Nagata was the seventh and last author to get this data:

“Participants reported an average of 4.0 h of total screen time per day at baseline.”

“For specific screen time modalities, each additional hour of texting (aOR 1.36, 95% CI 1.06-1.74), video chatting (aOR 1.30, 95% CI 1.03-1.65), watching videos (aOR 1.21, 95% CI 1.04-1.39), and playing video games (aOR 1.18, 95% CI 1.01-1.38) was associated with higher odds of subsequent suicidal behaviors.”

Where, for the record, it’s still spelled out in a way that a lay person can’t read. I’ll translate it for you:

Suicidality among 9 to 11 year olds who texted for four hours per day increased by 36% .

Suicidality among 9 to 11 year olds who video chatted for four hours per day increased by 30%.

Suicidality among 9 to 11 year olds who watched videos for four hours per day increased by 21% .

Suicidality among 9 to 11 year olds who played video games for four hours per day increased by 18%.

“Violence in video games” is one oft-suggested meme as to what makes kids kill themselves. Well, if that’s true, then why is the 36% increase in suicidality among 9 to 11 year olds who text for one hour per day 100% greater, or double the 18% increase among those who play video games for the same time period?

The study goes on to say “At two-year-follow-up, 1.38% of the sample reported at least one suicidal behavior.”

In a 2023 study of American children aged 9 to 11 years, 38% of them had attempted suicide by the end of the two-year study period.

Here’s the smirking Jess Berthold’s picture, where she’s turned her head to give blatant influence to her left eye:

Can you see how Jess has her head turned to give prominence to her left eye?

They’s because she’s a follower of the Left-hand path.
