The other day I was walking towards my workplace and realized I had some time over. So I went into a small hilly field by the street to check out a sign. It stated that it was a grave field from approx. 10th century. And sure enough, I could see a few mounds, about a meter high. As strange as it may sound, I’ve been passing by this field on different sides for several years without knowing! Just been thinking it was an extension of the adjacent natural area. So I decided to gift the grave field, not today, but sometime later.
Returning from work in the evening the same day, I looked into the grave field and to my surprise there was a deer standing there watching me. Even though this country has a lot of deers, I can’t say that I’ve seen them very often in a city environment. So I decided that now is the time to gift this field. I had one TB in the pocket of my jacket. I thought I had to take great care not to scare the deer out into the street, but soon realized it wasn’t that scared of me. I proceeded to walk into the field at an angle from the deer. Upon placing the TB, I noticed another deer coming up towards the first one. And just a bit later, as I was leaving the area in a different direction than I came from, I saw a third one!. It must have been years ago I saw deers near the city and certainly never three of them at the same time.
By the way, all the towers in that neighborhood were gifted over a year ago. This particular encounter was especially joyful for me as I’ve never run into deers on my various gifting runs in forrests previously. And now I meet them in a field in the city environment, to which they somehow had found their way!
