I found a bag of TB’s I forgot about in my garage the other day.
Today I had to run errands, including taking my son for a sports physical at a place I know has a giant tower array. I had dropped a TB there a few years ago, but since then they’ve dramatically upgraded the array with a ton of additional panels. Also while out I decided to drop a some TB’s at some local towers within a mile of my home. I have seen them increasing the size of panels, and other ‘tweaks’ lately, and figured it was time. As we were arriving at the doctors for the sports physical I dropped a TB VERY close to the array, roughly 20 feet away from it. We then went inside to fill out paperwork, and have the physical done.
We came out about an hour later and there was a helicopter circling around the array! I haven’t had that happen in quite some time, so it was pretty awesome to be able to ‘tweak’ their interest again! My son and I looked up at it, and started laughing. It was circling the array, aiming some ‘dome’ like objects under it at the array. Really coincidental to have this happen at the same time we gifted! Nothing was noted at the other locations, but we didn’t stick around as time was short.
It was good to gift, as I took last summer off and this bag of TB’s was an unexpected boon! It’s also good to get confirmation that gifting still pisses ‘them’ off… I plan to make several hundred TB’s next summer, as I have all of the supplies left over, and myself and another gifter want to finish up the worst areas of the Detroit Suburbs.
