Violent crime in Montgomery, Alabama decreased by 42% from January 2022 to February 2022

“I have already explained to you that what is out of the common is usually a guide rather than a hindrance. In solving a problem of this sort, the grand thing is to be able to reason backwards. That is a very useful accomplishment, and a very easy one, but people do not practise it much. In the every-day affairs of life it is more useful to reason forwards, and so the other comes to be neglected. There are fifty who can reason synthetically for one who can reason analytically.”

Sherlock Holmes, from “A Study in Scarlet”, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, 1887

THE ARTICLES

In February 2022, the Harvard Crimson said “Serious Crime Dropped by 22 Percent to Begin2022, CPD Report says”.

Where, under the false guise of familiarity, Crimson Staff Writer Brandon L. Kingdollar omitted the words “Harvard” and “Cambridge”, to make the subject almost unsearchable. That’s an example of the propaganda technique called “compartmentalization”.

Kingdollar tacked the snide “CPD Report says” on the back end of the headline to give the subconscious of the Coincidence theorist reader the green light to say “oh, those Cambridge police will report anything.” The propagandist knows that many or most readers will grasp any straw, no matter how thin, to remain off the hook of personal responsibility.

He bravely hedged that the see-the-needle-moving decrease in crime was only to begin 2022.

Here’s Brandon’s picture:

In February 2022, wreg.com said “MPD sees 3% ‘serious crime’ reduction within a year”.

Where, under the false guise of familiarity, author Shay Arthur omitted the words “Memphis” and “Tennessee”, to make the subject almost unsearchable. That’s an example of the propaganda technique called “compartmentalization”. As a bonus, they also used the general “a year” to black out the reader’s ability to discern what time period the author is talking about. That’s another example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

Tirelessly, agent Arthur put ‘serious crime’ in minor quotes, to call it into question. The propagandist knows that many or most readers will grasp virtually any straw, no matter how thin, to remain off the hook of personal responsibility.

Sees 3% reduction” walks it back a step from Memphis actually experiencing that reduction. The black-hearted people who do this for a living proudly call it “tradecraft”.

The article goes on to say “Tuesday, Assistant Chief of Police Services Don Crowe said violent crime is down about 5% so far in January of this year compared to last year.”

We’ve now learned that Agent Arthur put the lower 3% reduction in serious crime in the headline, and, in journalistic parlance, “buried” the larger “about 5%” decrease in violent crime in the body text below.

Assistant Chief of Police Services Don Crowe attributed the decrease to “the SCORPION unit”. He’s putting forward a bullshit plausible-deniability excuse at the local level, and saying nothing about the wider trend of decreasing crime taking place regardless of culture or geography. That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

In February 2022, almanacnews.com lied bald-facedly by saying “Bucking national trends, Menlo Park’s crime rate dropped”. We know it’s a baldfaced lie because we’re reading an article exhaustively documenting exponential decreases in crime occurring simultaneously regardless of culture or geography with those taking place in the only-generally-named Menlo Park.

Under the false guise of familiarity, the author, the Almanac’s Lloyd Lee, omitted the word “California”, to make the subject far less searchable. That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

Despite being an investigative reporter by trade, Mr. Lee also used the hedging generality “crime rate dropped” to avoid printing the far more impactful percentage by which crime in Menlo Park, California had dropped, or mentioning the time period over which it dropped by some unspecified amount. As a propagandist, Lee knows that, since sixty to seventy percent of readers only read the headlines, his hedging generality will go a long way toward “compartmentalizing” awareness of the exponential scope by which crime is decreasing in Menlo Park, California.

The subhead reads “Police data shows violent and property crimes in the city decreased in 2021”. Mr. Lee again used a hedging generality, this time “crimes in the city decreased”, to once again avoid printing the far more impactful percentage by which crime in Menlo Park, California had decreased. His repetition of nearly the same thing in the headline and subhead is a violent cue for the subconscious of the Coincidence theorist to stop reading immediately. “Nothing new to see, here!”

Using a time-honored propaganda technique, in journalistic parlance Agent Lee “buried” the statistics in a table below. The caption for the table reads “Property and violent crimes decreased in 2021, by 8.5% and 28%, respectively, according to data from the Menlo Park Police Department.”

There’s a strict rule in journalism, where you list the highest percentage or number first, and the rest in descending order. Here, Agent Lee has Satanically inverted it, to do what little he could to hedge and downplay.

We’ve now learned that the headline should have read “Violent crime in Menlo Park, California decreased by nearly 30% from 2020 to 2021”. That’s such an impactful headline, I’m going to use it as click-bait, and make it my headline for this article. That is, unless an even more punishing statistic comes up during the course of its writing.

Menlo Park Police Chief David Norris attributed the sudden, exponential, and historically-unprecedented decrease in violent crime in Menlo Park, California from 2020 to 2021 to “our alert residents and businesses”. He’s putting forward a bullshit plausible-deniability excuse at the local level, and saying nothing about the wider trend of exponentially-decreasing crime taking place regardless of culture or geography. That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

I couldn’t locate a picture of Lloyd.

In February 2022, vsuspectator.com said “Valdosta Police Department sees a crime decline in Valdosta”.

Where, under the false guise of familiarity, author Amanda Russell omits the word “Georgia”, to make the article far less searchable. That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

Sees a crime decline” walks it back a step from Valdosta actually experiencing that reduction. The hedging generality “crime decline” is put forward to avoid printing the far more impactful percentage by which crime in Valdosta had dropped, or mentioning the time period over which it dropped by some unspecified amount. As a propagandist, Ms. Russell knows that, since sixty to seventy percent of readers only read the headlines, her hedging generality will go a long way toward “compartmentalizing” awareness of the exponential scope by which crime is decreasing in Valdosta, er, Georgia.

The article goes on to say “VPD has recovered $1,663,187.00 of stolen property and has fewer requests for service in what is statistically, a drop to 70,499 in 2021 from 73,920 in 2020.”

Can you see how, despite professing to be an investigative reporter, Ms. Russell doesn’t give the reader anything to compare the large-seeming stolen property number to? Then she uses the word “statistically” as a cue for the Coincidence theorist reader to stop reading, or failing that, to say to themselves “oh, those Valdosta police can make statistics say anything!”, and turn the page. The propagandist knows that many or most readers will grasp virtually any straw, no matter how thin, to remain off the hook of personal responsibility.

Then, at last, agent Russell provides the numbers, but tirelessly hedges yet again, this time by omitting the far more impactful percentage decrease between them. So, I had to do the math to learn that unspecified requests for police service in Valdosta, Georgia decreased by 5% from 2020 to 2021, from 73,920 to 70,499.

Valdosta Police Chief Leslie Manahan attributed the stunning decrease in crime to “the slow advancement back to our normal lives”. Can you see how that’s only-general? As you may recall, generality is a hallmark of propaganda. She’s putting forward a general bullshit plausible-deniability excuse at the local level, and saying nothing about the wider trend of exponentially-decreasing crime that is taking place regardless of culture or geography. That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

In March 2022, wsfa.com said “MPD reports 42% decrease in violent crime from January to February”.

Where, under the false guise of familiarity, author Ashley Bowerman omitted the words “Montgomery”, and “Alabama”, to make the subject almost unsearchable That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

Ms. Bowerman tacked the snide “MPD reports” on the front end to give the subconscious of the Coincidence theorist reader the green light to say “oh, those police in Montgomery, Alabama will report anything.” The propagandist knows that many or most readers will grasp any straw, no matter how thin, to remain off the hook of personal responsibility.

As a bonus, despite pretending to be an investigative journalist, agent Bowerman omitted the year, to make the subject even less searchable. That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

Interim Police Chief Ramona Harris attributed the historically-unprecedented decrease in crime to “the proactiveness of the police department”. She’s putting forward a bullshit plausible-deniability excuse at the local level, and saying nothing about the wider trend of decreasing crime taking place regardless of culture or geography. That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “compartmentalization”.

In March 2022, msn.com said “L.A. Police Department reports nearly 18% decrease in homicides in 2022 so far”.

Where, under the false guise of familiarity, the uncredited author omitted the words “Los Angeles” and “California”, to make the subject far less searchable. That’s an example of the propaganda technique called “compartmentalization”.

When an author in a mainstream publication is uncredited, it’s direct proof that said author is an Intelligence Operative.

The unnamed Intelligence asset tacked the snide “L.A. Police Department reports” on the front end of the headline to give the subconscious of the Coincidence theorist reader the green light to say “oh, those police in L.A. will report anything.” The propagandist knows that many or most readers will grasp any straw, no matter how thin, to remain off the hook of personal responsibility.

Whomever they are, the uncredited author bravely hedged that the see-the-needle-moving decrease in crime was only “in 2022 so far”.

The unnamed Intelligence asset did not offer any suggestion as to what had led to the sudden, historically-unprecedented decrease in crime. That’s an example of the propaganda technique known as “stonewalling”.
