Basically it’s about how crazy we’ve made our situation in the ‘Westernized’ world. The poet Patrick Kavanagh said that tragedy was underdeveloped comedy because the characters had lost the ability to laugh at themselves. This film is a comedy which is what makes it beautiful, because we’re all beautiful.
