Brazilan Cell Phone Companies Drama

Recently one of the most talked subject by brazilian mass media are the current prohibition off new cell phone lines sales by the Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (Anatel), National Agency of Telecomunications. Those happened due to the huge number of complaints about poor service. Many companies were prohibited from saling new numbers in many states. Even the brazilian president Dilma Rousseff publicaly supported hard measures againt the companies. When such kind of deluxe pawn is used for promoting something on “our behalf” It realy sounds an alarm.

The companies answer was that the local municipal legislations greatly restricts cell (S.I.C.) towers localization and that they need a more permissive legislation for keeping up with the consumers demand. Today more than 250 different municipal laws exists, creating lots of bureaucracy for the implanting of new transmitters ( I’ve never tought I was going to like bureacracy once in my life hehehe )

The Anatel will currently start regulating the towers sharing by many companies, so expect old towers receiving more death tech dor the sake comporting the market needs.

There’s preasure for a new federal law for raising new towers, that may serve as general guideline for the municipatilies to be convinced to adopt.

The companies also argue the need of more tower for the implementation of the new 4G system, as they say that the new system range is lower and requires more towers.

Today Brazil is estimated to have 50,000 towers (about 1 tower for each 3800 inhabitants). They seek to expand the number for 100,000 the comming years to attend the demand. So, stay alert for more death junk to be erected the following years.

In some countries antennas are actually hard to implant! Not france obviously [Image Can Not Be Found] but in luxembourg it’s quite strict, around 90% of the towers are at least 1km away from populated areas, which is not bad and the legislation prevents companies from implanting their own antenna masts here and there, most often they must share the same mast, it’s easier for gifting [Image Can Not Be Found]
Usually in countries in europe towers can’t emit more than 61V/m, in switzerland it’s 6V/m in luxembourg 3V/m, well it’s still bad tech (at any level) but at least they still have nice standards to avoid putting them too near from homes, and since it’s surrounded by nature it’s easier to gift…
Sometimes bureaucracy is indeed good [Image Can Not Be Found]

In Salzburg Austria the standard inside the city is 0.06V/m, it’s really low compared to any standard anywhere else!! I wonder how the energies are inside that city (even if ungifted)? with such restrictions. Would be good to know, if these very low emission powers actually do propagate less DOR?
Still good to gift [Image Can Not Be Found] I just wonder since there’s no other city in the world to compare it to.
