On one occasion, years back, someone had pointed out a George Bush Jr on the front of the paper and called him a monster and I replied, “How can you hate that? It’s just a puppet.”
And several times during the recent American election, I had several people talking about how they thought Obama was a Manchurian Candidate or some kind of sleeper agent terrorist and I said “Don’t be so paranoid and silly. That fellow is quite clearly a robot.”
It’s interesting what comes up in spur of the moment flippant remarks.
