Interesting interview, not sure about their claim that psychopaths have no soul.
“Mankind has a natural predator, the psychopath, and this predator is invisible because there are no easily discernible markings that set him apart……Early in the book, Łobaczewski describes his experiences in university where he first encountered the phenomenon. He went into the library to get some books on the question of psychopathy and found to his amazement that they had all been removed! This fact demonstrates a self-awareness of their difference amongst at least some of them, and in the case of Poland under communism, of those in a position of power highly enough placed to get books removed from the university library……approximately 18% of any given population is active in the creation and imposition of a Pathocracy (or the attempt to create and impose same). The 6% group constitute the Pathocratic nobility and the 12% group forms the new bourgeoisie, whose economic situation is the most advantageous.”— The Trick of the Psychopath’s Trade: Make Us Believe that Evil Comes from Others http://current.com/1qgfm4c
There’s an American TV show, “Criminal Minds” that deals with the psycho-pathological behavior of criminal psychopaths. it’s pretty good! It centers around a group of FBI profilers out of Quantico. My favorite character is a nerdy-genius dude that bears an IQ of 186. he reads 20,000 words a minute! :O) He’s so constanly spewing facts and figures they have to tell him to shut-up all the time. Also he has a perfect memory. I wonder what that’s like?
Of course this show glorifies the damn FBI and it’s a total work of fiction, yet entertaining and informative if you are interested in what makes serial murderers tick. I’m interested because I want to be able to spot one before he lures me into a trap. They are very sweet, engaging people until they get you alone! Ted Bundy’s judge said after the trial that he liked Ted so much that if Ted had been a lawyer instead of a killer, he would have loved to share his court with him, or some such nonsense.
I think the rule of thumb is don’t allow yourself to be left-alone with overly friendly strangers. Any strangers.
After thinking about this stuff, I realized that psychopaths tend to rise to
the top of their fields because they are ruthless and will do anything to get
what they want.
So, industry, politics, religion, etc. are all run by psychopaths.
Yes, sure does, but they don’t know about other ‘characters’ such as the covert-hostile. Not people you want to go into business with. I think I met a psychopath once, he spent the evening telling me how confident he was, especially about his new venture, I realised later that that is a trait. This guy bought some wine off a guy, never paid him, then invited him to a party where he served this wine! Pretty creepy feeling I get with him.
I realise this quote about sex is how they feel:
"A man who doesn’t have good sex resents life living itself; he wants to force and control it; he identifies with priests; he thinks business and sport, war and politics are more important than home building and garden tending, wife cultivating and child rearing; he no longer remembers his youth; his feelings, like his environment, are simply something to be dominated and destroyed; he is not moved by the Living……—-J.James
[Psychopath projecting, he is a chilling guy to watch.] “Those who attempt to dispel the notion that HIV is the cause of AIDS are perpetrators of death… I think that people like Peter Duesberg belong in jail… I suggest to you that Peter Duesberg is probably the closest thing we have in this world to a scientific psychopath.” — Mark Wainberg, Canadian AIDS researcher (Scovill 2004 http://www.theothersideofaids.com )
[Sums him up!] “In organized quackery, the scum rises to the top,….the freedom of choice they’re shouting for is a code word for freedom to deceive……I submit to you that they’re psychopaths born with a brain defect that makes them pathological liars.” —Dr. Victor Herbert (from Vegetarian Times, August, 1991, p.88)
[Lockerby] The covert operators that I ran with would blow up a 747 with 300 people to kill one person. They are total sociopaths with no conscience whatsoever." – Former Pentagon CID Investigator Gene Wheaton
She says that people are born psychopaths which I find interesting.
“She says that people are born psychopaths which I find interesting.”
Back to the question of do psychopaths have souls?
Perhaps they are born with no souls, I find that more believeable than the possiblity of them losing their souls as they become psychopathic. Seems to me it’s true they are born that way. They start out small torturing animals and work their way up to torturing humans. George Bush comes to mind.
