Right after our trip to Uganda together, over six years ago, Georg of orgonise-africa.net sent me a couple kilos of these little broken amethysts. I think they were knocked out from the inside of geodes. I"ve been adding one or two of those rough bits to each towerbuster ever since then and I still have half a kilo left

Any sort of crystal works. The east Africans are using little clear pebbles they pick up from stream beds and you can see the results those farmers and fishermen are getting with this. Any clear or translucent stone is fine to use for basic orgonite.
I’m patiently waiting for my wife to furnish some notes on adding fancy stuff to specialized orgonite: crystalinsights.net . She hasn’t posted anything on there for awhile but she was recently alerted that someone had done some ‘editing’ there without her permission. Sleepless federal sewer rats, I suppose; nice, unwitting endorsement from those terrorists=–may their parasitic reign soon end without bloodshed.

I forgot to mention the amethyst is only used, occasionally, as an – addition – to my HHGs.
Nothing can take the place of simple, good, old orgonite and that means resin, metal and a quartz crystal, though like Don says: any sort of (clear or translucent) crystal works.
