Our intrepid Polish contributor has been putting my early journal reports (compiled here as The Adventures of Don and Carol Croft) into voice format for MP3 players. Capt Azti has been moving those into the Adventures link. This represents a lot of hours of work and it’s going to cause this unorganized movement to spread even faster, especially among youth.
When he sent me the sample I was absolutely floored and asked him who was reading it aloud in an English accent. He told me that it was done with software, developed in Poland and suitable for English, Polish and Romanian languages.
This fellow, as you probably gathered from reading his personal history in another thread, is a phenomenally intelligent, capable and independent-minded person and I’m happy to have his reports on EW.
Thank you Don for your kind words and our tech-guru Azti for posting the audio.
I think those audio files will enable newcomers to our gifting Empire to understand, and have a fresh look (as Don and Carol in those days when they started) at incredible possibilities which are within our hands’ reach!
Anyway – it’s how I started (I mean after reading Don and Carol’s adventures on Ken Adachi website Educate-Yourself: http://educate-yourself.org/dc/adcepisodeindex.shtml and it kept me hooked for a couple of days until I finished reading to the very END. Later I started gifting and making CBs.
Reading was kind of tedious and required to be glued to monitor, so I figured out that there must be a better way.
I made some R&D and solution was found. To make long story short – better way is to listen to story (in front of your computer, or in portable mp3-player, or on your car’s CD player …) than to be forced to read it yourself.
To make life easier for people to get Don’s audiobook I created torrent file and started seeding.
I uploaded torrent file on Pirate Bay (http://thepiratebay.org/) – just search for “Don Croft” and it should pop up (torrenT filename: “Don Croft – The Adventures of Don & Carol.torrent”).
Here are simple steps how to do it:
Get your bit torrent client, for example uTorrent (you can get it here: http://www.utorrent.com/)
Install it.
Go to Pirate Bay (http://thepiratebay.org/), search for Don Croft and torrent file should pop up – download it.
Open torrent file using uTorrent and start files download
Wait patiently until it finishes (it’s approx. 900 MB) and have fun listening to this audio [Image Can Not Be Found]
… And PLEASE seed files !!!
