I gave up trying to find the relevant thread but when EW was nearly destroyed by hackers in May I was told by Monique in Holland that a lot of other genuinely informative websites also went down, that day. It was the same day that Jerry Kane and his son were slaughtered by an army of federal cops. Kane had been lecturing about how bankrupted people could stop the banks from making them homeless–a high crime against the state. I figured the entire thing was an integral step in the US Government’s inexorable [lemming [Image Can Not Be Found] ] march toward martial law [the cliff’s edge for them].
Here’s an update from Monique:
Yeah, Don, it’s no different here in Holland, as you undoubtedly know. I wish ‘the crisis’ would empty their pockets too!
The other day I also sent you some information about a site called ‘clusty.com’. Do you remember that? You may have been unfamiliar with this site, but it was about the same thing: a search engine that respected the searcher’s privacy, but was ‘taken over’ by a company called Yippy. Same time as the other sites were attacked. Only this hijacking was succesful.
Sorry about my late reaction, but I was on holiday.
Best,
Monique

Thx, Monique–I didn’t receive the previous email, so thx for your persistence. I’ll post about this.
Fortunately for all of us, the internet is so decentralized that no single gov’t or group of filthy corporate gov’ts can affect it. Remember when fiber optic cables to North AFrica and India were cut by (probably US/Brit/Israel) submarines a few years ago? Even that didn’t stop the people’s internet access in those countries
